Hayden credits his work ethic to the influence of his father. The experience Joe gained working alongside his father and his five brothers in the family tile business early on is invaluable. He was raised on hard work and the mantra “you’re never through improving yourself”. Sports, United States Marine Corps (USMC), domestic and international roles within The Timken Company, and attaining his degree in Mechanical Engineering then subsequently his Master’s in Business Administration, were all driving forces in Joe’s life. Through each action, he honed his discipline, ability to focus, commitment and a willingness to go the extra mile in pursuit of a goal.
With his characteristic determination, Joe built his career in tile from the ground up. He founded The Hayden Tile Company in 2007 as a sole proprietor and later incorporated it into Imperial Tile Company LLC. He carefully assembled a team of craftsman and craftswomen who share his passion for creating the finest tile installations while delivering exceptional experiences for their clientele. Thanks to Joe’s vision, Imperial Tile is on track to become one of North Carolinas most sought-after tile installation companies, and he loves being directly involved in each project. As a member of the National Tile Contractor Association (NTCA) and participant in its Certified Tile Installer program (CTI), he remains focused on continually broadening and deepening his expertise in order to continually grow his industry knowledge, increasing his chances to attract the best in the business and expand the company’s capabilities.
